On five occasions, I attempted to contact technical support, and received no responses -- online or via phone. I returned the Sonocaddie after several more hours of trying to make it work and have since replaced it with the second choice from my research --a GolfLogix GPS. Prior to replacing my old model SkyCaddie, I did a great deal of research on newer GPS units. I am not a computer novice, having been CEO of a software company for nearly 20 years, but I found this totally confounding and unacceptable. I'm very happy with the latter. On paper, the Sonocaddie XV2 came out on top, based on the type of information I was looking for from a golf GPS and the price. After receiving it, I spent an entire day attempting to download courses, without any success.
has a color screen which makes it easier to read. This model was fairly hard to read the screen, so he is returning it and has already purchased the next model up. Bought this as a Father's Day gift after doing online research. The good news is that my husband said I did pick the best product that he could tell, but I did pick the wrong model.
Excellent price for a well made product.Easy to use and has changed my game.A friend of mine purchased one from a different company and he is still trying to figure it out.
All in all, I am very happy with this purchase. I had some problems downloading courses through my laptop and customer service was very helpful and responsive in resolving my issue. The Soncaddie XV2 is an excellent mid priced golf gps. It is accurate, easy to use and update and has very good battery life.
So simple to operate, no high tech torture. Batteries last a lot longer than expected, been out 8-10 times same batteries. SAVED ME ON AVERAGE FIVE STROKES ON EVERY COURSE.THANKS A couple of points that I wanted to share:Was extremely easy to load my home course by myself. It was not on the list of 23,000 courses.no problem though.
